Puma Desmo 800 Boots

Puma Desmo 800
The Desmo 800 in “Black-Dark Shadow” ooo

Puma Desmo 800
The inside of the calf. Lovely details.

Puma Desmo 800
Trademark Puma swoosh. Leads nicely in to the toe-slider.

Puma Desmo 800
From the side, the Desmo looks fecking gorgeous.

Puma Desmo 800
The shifter patch is made from some type of rubber and features the Puma and some ribs to make shifting a breeze.

Puma Desmo 800
The toe slider type A. This is for track riding.

Puma Desmo 800
Heel detail. The mixture of materials on this boot are superb and the thought that went in to it is mind boggling.

Puma Desmo 800
Metal heel detail. See picture below for use.

Puma Desmo 800
Outside calf detail. These bits are hard plastic for crash protection.

Puma Desmo 800
Close up of the two tone plastic finish, the design flares are simply stunning.

Puma Desmo 800
The lower half of the inside, with lots of protection and hidden from view, halfway up the zip is a disc that covers the ankle bone, made from harder plastic but inside the lining to make it comfy as feck.

Puma Desmo 800
Zip detail, with knurled bit for extra purchase and wee Puma logo for detail.

Puma Desmo 800
The front of the boot (the shin) has the main logo on it in 2 tone black/silver. Lovely.

Puma Desmo 800
The soul of the boot, or rather the sole. Nice grippy surface and nice puma logo.

Puma Desmo 800
The old faithfuls and the new upstart. I love my Alpinestars but obvioulsy the Puma is so much more of a looker.

Puma Desmo 800
In situ. Sitting on the bike the boot is absolutely amazing comfort wise. No pressure points and a glorious snugness.

Puma Desmo 800
Another angle showing the rear end.

Puma Desmo 800
Note the reflective bit on the top of the boot. Not really that handy if you put your trousers over your boots like I always do. Never mind, itll be handy if/when I get full leathers.

Puma Desmo 800
And the Pièce de résistance: The small metal logo on the back’s function becomes immediately apparent when going to take the boots off. It serves as a brilliant lever to “shoe” the boot off. Tremendous design and brilliant thinking!

Puma Desmo 800
Puma have given the rider the option of a “daily” toe slider! A wee slip that came with the additional sliders said that “we like to give you the option, so here’s a lighter toe slider, for the long commutes or daily riding. For more hardcore stuff, use the ones originally on the boot.” (Basically) Another glorious design thought by the heads at Puma. Absolutely brilliant!
