Hai, I’m Rizki from Indonesia. I’ve visit here in your site. Nice to be here.
I agree with your statement and persuasion in my blog. In my country (Indonesia) there is a law about using helmet, vis called Undang-Undang No 14 Tahun 1992 (the Law Number 14/1992). But 16 years is not enough to make people aware about head-killing.
Traffic data describe that 8 from 10 motorcycle’s accidents in Indonesia causes death fatalities because they don’t wear helmet.
Transportation Department is always declare a helmet campaign every year, indeed has a vision that we must have “to zero accident” slogan.
But, unhappily, we don’t have a regulation about standard of helmet usage. What kind of helmet? What type of helmet? What kind of material for producing helmet? So, we can say here that standard helmet equals expensive helmet. This parameter is very important thing, so the government must make a standardization of helmet. The helmets must be produced with strict quality control, and government must subsidize it for people.

Hi Gordon
A very Interesting and well written review of the Orona jacket
You forgot to say that the overlayed protection on the shoulders and elbows was BALISTIC Nylon with its excellent abrassion resistance.
By the way its a Panther on the back
Great website too ( yours )

Hi, thanks for the pictures of your RST GP Pilot gloves (better pictures than their own site!). I am inbetween these and Alpine Stars and one or two others, could you give me your unbiased opinion of which are best, I ride a new R1 for work and pleasure (no track days yet as working in Germany its too much hassle)
I can get a pair brand new on ebay for £39.99 which seems very cheap for a high spec glove.
Any advice would be greatfully appreciated.
Cheers, Mark.
Nice site by the way.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the message.
The GP Pilots are extremely comfortable and very hard wearing. Verntilation is also excellent. I have a few pairs of summer gloves including AStars. My AStars are practically brand new as I never wear them due to wearing the RST gloves.
The RST glove also has a lot of tech in it which you wouldn’t find in lower priced AStars or equivalent like kevlar stitching, kangaroo leather palm and carbon fibre knuckles/protection.
I wouldn’t think twice about getting another pair.

Steven,
Let me guess, you bought the helmet in a large and it look fookin massive! I bought the large as i couldnt get my nog in the medium, and it makes me look like a toffee apple haha. Other than the enlarged cranium effect though I can honestly say it is a fantastic helmet, apart from the aforementioned neck roll issues, took it back the day i bought it as the seams had split already.
Love the blogs gordon keep up the good work!!!

Hi Gordon,
When you get around to updating your web-links the ‘MTOC’ has dropped the .uk part of the domain name and now resides at a more global “www.mt-owners-club.org”. The site is now completely revamped too. Ride safe.

PS: Thanks for the O2 broadband ditty – I was thinking of swapping to them from Plusnet, don’t think I’ll bother now.

yo man,
I’m considering getting me some of that wolf titanium kit to replace my aged dainese kit.
I would not recommend the dainese stuff as they consider daily use to be excessive – as in, we will not replace/fix where you have worn through your kit under warranty as daily wear counts as excessive use.
Anyway, do you still have the wolf kit ? how is it holding up ? I was a bit concerned about the velco on the front flap. It’s been about a year since your review – how about a follow up ?
cheers mate

Hi
I still have the Wolf Kit aye, and it’s been some of the best gear I have owned.
It’s got me through 2 extremely bad winters and 2 very good summers, as well as all the inbetweeny bits.
The velcro on the front just aligns the flap, there’s also poppers for extra fixing.
It’s a fantastic set of kit, very warm but nothing can really keep you warm from Scottish winter’s on its own, so a wee extra t-shirt or thermal base layer doesn’t go a miss. As with anything, using it everyday does wear it out a bit more than if you wore it once a month, but the jacket it still in fantastic condition and the trousers have got a wee bit of wear on the very ends of the legs due to wind flap but apart from that, a worthy setup for any 365 rider.
Follow up review is in the pipeline.
Hope this helps, if not email me and I’ll give you a big list of things
Cheers
Gordon
