I noticed a cheap Yamaha BT1100 and then a Suzuki GSR 600 . Ive never had a jap bike that has let me down and Ive had a few now, the Suzuki looks very modern but there seems to be alot of them for sale around £2500 to £3500 with having one or two owners so makes me wonder if other people like you are having trouble with the GSR too. I need a bike to reliable and trouble free and one thats not going to rot away so I think I will give the GSR a miss, shame because it looks so good. However … mine gets a lot of TLC. It gets serviced regularly (I don’t wait for things to go wrong, I’m a little more pro-active than that), I wash (& polish) mine regularly, the chain gets lubed and all the other little nooks & crannies get CRC’d on a regular basis too. I have just completed a 4767km trip around Tasmania and it didn’t miss a beat – and we rode through some pretty crappy weather.

So let’s just say we agree to disagree :-)
